Sad to say.. The day has come to inform you guys that i will no longer update my fotopages.. 
I've decided that all future pics taken by me will be uploaded and shared at Picasa..

Putrajaya International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta - 19 March 2009

Went to the fiesta not expecting much but in the end i'm impressed, it was quite good.. Lots of balloon on show.. Tot there would only be a couple.. Also i was late since the website stated the balloon flights starts at 5pm and ends at 6pm.. I arrived at 6pm and lucky me, they just started.. =)
 
Update - i am disappointed with fotopages, the images i uploaded were quite sharp but browsing the pics by clicking the link View All 24 Photos.., the pics looks low res n grainy! yucks! should i give flickr a try? but i hate the photostream concept.. =( only the pic above this text looks ok cos i hosted it at photobucket.. its time to find another free pics gallery for me.. fotopages, your days are numbered..

Went there again, this time with my parents.. The food was even better the second time around.. Departed from PJ around 4.15pm and arrived at Jeram around 5.00pm.. Not bad at all.. Not that far if you ask me.. The food, as i said earlier was good, the scenery even better.. And best of all? The bill was only RM150++! Pricey?
What we had was:
+ 1 big siakap 'thai stim' style
+ 1 medium siakap '3 rasa'
+ 2 medium 'sotong goreng tepung'
+ 5 big butter prawns (udang harimau)
+ 2 plates of 'udang goreng tepung' (at least 8 medium size prawns per plate!)
+ 1 big crab cooked sweet & sour style
+ 1 small pari bakar
+ rice for 5
+ big jug of teh tarik!
Yummy!!
I'm going there again in a month or two.. Sapa nak follow?!

Like the saying 'like father like son', I'd like to alter it a bit to match what u see below.. =)
Everything happened naturally as i snapped away.. This series of photos was taken quite some time ago in 2007.. I was cleaning up my photo bank when i came across it and i think its really worth an upload.. =)

The final piece of my dream rig is here..
I didn't think i could afford it honestly..
With a price tag of RM1199.00, its just way out of my budget.
And then.. there was a stock clearout!
Quickly sold of my Dell 19" Ultra-sharp LCD for RM400..
Sold of a few IT peripherals collecting dust for an additional RM160..
There's now RM560 in my LCD upgrade fund..
How much do you think i need to top up to get my dream 24" LCD?
600? 400? NOPE! Its RM140.00!!!

Event organized by SAG (Shah Alam GTrians)..
About 15 GTRians came for the ride..
4pm: Met at dataran shah alam on ride day..
5pm: and we're off..
6pm: Reached our destination safely.. The view was marvelous!
7pm: Seaside seafood dinner @ Kg. Sg. Sembilang!  Food was very good!
9pm: Ride back to Shah Alam..

GTR related Activity - Putrajaya TT session.. 4th Dec '08
|

The PJ GTRians (from Autoshift.net) decided a TT cum riding session was in order when the last time we had 1 was a month ago!
On the 4th of December around 6pm we gathered and rode to Putrajaya to enjoy some satay and swap stories..
About 10 people showed up for the ride and everything was great from the food to the 'lepaking' activity..

LG DV298H DVD Player - Personal review..

I got this from SenHeng for just over RM340.. Its a dvd player which supports HDMI and USB input.. Bought it cos at that time i got myself a HD ready tv with hdmi input.. Why bother with hd ready tv if you dont fully utilise it right? And the cheapest a hdmi supported dvd player at time with usb input capabilities is this baby alright.. checked around and a close competitor would be another player from philips costing just under RM400..
Well.. how does this dvd player perform? lets skip the dvd reading altogether cos HDMI + usb input is what its all about.. i need a decent player which can upscale to 1080i (read hd ready), reads the movie file from the thumbdrive and supports external subtitle files too.. all boxes ticked there.. 1 major flaw though.. the divx movie file read from the thumbdrive takes ages to load.. i've use my fair share of dvd players with divx and usb support (this LG is the 4th player i bought in 2 years!) and sadly this player takes the last spot in terms of speed.. sad indeed but a major flaw i had to overlook cos i'm just strap for cash at that time.. My suggestion.. buy the other philips(PLP-DVP5996K) dvd player!
Update - I've found another sub RM400 dvd player with HDMI and USB capabilities, its the Pioneer DV410! Check it out too if you can..
Shown above is the black version of my LG dvd player which is actually hard to find here, you can only get silver version.. But googling online for some sample pics of my silver model, i cant find any silver coloured version, only black!
